Propoxylation is a chemical process wherein propylene oxide or PO reacts with an alcohol, acid, amine or oil to make alcohol, acid, amine or oil propoxylates.

Propoxylation is a chemical process wherein propylene oxide (PO) reacts (in desired molar ratio) with an alcohol, acid, amine or vegetable oils to make Propoxylated surfactants. We manufacture propoxylates according to our customer's requirements on molecular weight, cloud point, hydroxyl value, sap value, pH HLB(hydrophilic lipophilic balance).

The addition of propylene oxide to alcohol, acid or amine can give alcohol propoxylate, acid propoxylate or amine propoxylate. Propylene oxide self-condensation can also give rise to poly propylene glycols (PPGs).
